Rowdy Yates, Nights Monday through Saturday 7p to Midnight
Rowdy Yates is a second generation broadcaster who’s fired up to be on the air in Charleston on Superstar Country 96 1 KWS. Born into a family of storytellers, Rowdy grew up with radio in his blood. His dad, Joe Holstead, was a legendary news journalist and frequent Paul Harvey substitute.
Rowdy’s radio adventures have taken him to cities across the country, from Houston and New Orleans to Oklahoma City, as well as smaller towns along the way. He got his start at 15 running church tapes, with his mom driving him every Sunday morning to chase his radio dream.
Now he’s bringing the fun and plenty of real country music to your nights from 7 to midnight.
