CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police have arrested two teenagers for reportedly showing a weapon at a West Virginia Turnpike toll booth late Sunday night.
Police said the teenagers, with out-of-state plates, brandished the weapon at a booth near the 85 mile marker. Later on, police said they found the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Officers said the car took off, leading police on a pursuit, then crashed close to the Piggly Wiggly supermarket on Spring Street at around 12:15 a.m.
There were no injuries in the incident. Police said the teenagers attempted to flee on foot and were found nearby.
The names of the teenagers were not released, but police did say they were from out of state.
