RALEIGH COUNTY, W.V. — Raleigh County officials are working with the sheriff’s office to address residents’ concerns about suspected drug activity in the Fairdale and Glen Daniel area.
Raleigh County Commissioner Daniel Hall issued a statement following multiple complaints from residents, including concerns about alleged activity surrounding a residence in Claypool Hollow.
Hall said he has spoken with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office several times during the past year regarding the complaints.
“Law enforcement must work inside the bounds of the law, and they can only do so much so fast,” Hall said. “Criminals do not concern themselves with such things.”
Hall said the Raleigh County Commission is working with the sheriff’s office toward a resolution and hopes to provide peace of mind to residents.
He also thanked the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office for its responsiveness and attention to the concerns raised by the community.
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting suspicious activity to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
