Woman arrested after alleged attack on 76-year-old in Mercer County

A woman was arrested after deputies say she punched a 76-year-old resident, struck her with a folding lawn chair and dragged her from a porch onto a driveway Sunday night.

Mercer County deputies responded to a home on Tabernacle Hill Road around 11:40 p.m. They found the older woman lying in the driveway with injuries to her face, head, hands and knees. A deputy reported that she could not recall what happened. EMS treated her, but her current condition was not provided.

According to a criminal complaint, security footage shows the older woman first punching a man involved in the confrontation. The man pushed her away and tried to leave the porch. Desiree Bradley then allegedly shoved the woman to the ground and repeatedly punched her.

Deputies say the footage later shows Bradley striking the woman with a folding lawn chair and dragging her by the ankles down the porch steps. Bradley was taken to Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
