CLARKSBURG, W.Va – Police arrested a Harrison County woman in connection to an accident in Clarksburg.
Sydni Healy, 31, of Clarksburg is accused of leaving a single vehicle accident scene on Murphy Run Road. Investigators said she left a child in the vehicle.
Police later located her in a wooded area. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests once contact was established.
Healy is charged with neglect creating risk of injury or death.
Deputies reportedly spoke to a man who said Healy gave him a ride to work. He told police she was acting strangely. Later, he said he returned to the scene after learning of the crash and Healy became angry and fled into a nearby woods in the direction of Summit Park. The child remained in the vehicle.
Deputies said the juvenile was not injured in the crash.
Healy is in North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
